Job summary

The Stepdown RN position with Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association centers on delivering dedicated cardiac care to patients moving from intensive care to medical-surgical units. The role requires vigilant monitoring and timely interventions to ensure patient stability.

Responsibilities include rhythm monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in Sun City, AZ.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and computer skills.
• Physical ability to assist with equipment and patient mobility.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing protocols, focusing on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Assess patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and document findings accurately.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
