Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2 East Surgical Stepdown/PCU unit. The role supports high-acuity surgical patients with multiple lines and complex care on a fast-paced unit.

The position offers nights, full-time or part-time with weekend/holiday rotation. Michigan RN license, BLS, and ACLS (as required) are essential. BSN preferred and a path to BSN completion is noted in policy.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program enabling NCLEX to become a licensed RN.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current Michigan RN license and BLS required.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency departments.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family.
• Actively seeks to prevent potential hospital-acquired conditions.
• Effectively communicates patient status, priorities and interventions during rounds and handoffs.
• Follows HIPAA policies and demonstrates alignment with Mission, Vision and Values.
