Job summary

Polynesian Adventure Tours, LLC in Hawaii is seeking energetic Step-On Guides/Narrator Ambassadors to share Hawaii's history, language, culture, and notable sites with visitors. You will ensure a positive, memorable experience and high-level customer service.

Greet passengers, load safely, keep records, and coordinate with drivers. You will present route-appropriate narration and uphold motorcoach safety standards. The role requires knowledge of Hawaii and the ability to explain it engagingly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of customer service or hospitality experience required; or an equivalent combination.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Ability to relate to employees and customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet passengers and clients and assist those with special needs or requests.
• Load passengers onto the bus by following established safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of PAX count, arrival time, and baggage counts.
• Maintain constant communication with Drivers and Base Dispatch on any changes and/or discrepancies to the schedule, arrival, etc.
• Present tour narration relevant and appropriate to tour routing.
• Review motorcoach safety protocols with guests
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dispatch Supervisor or Station Manager.
• Must always be in uniform as per the Employee Handbook

Salary Range: $20.00 To $20.00 Hourly

We are seeking energetic, positive, outgoing Step-On Guides/Narrator Ambassadors who present interesting and factual information about Hawaii's history, language, culture, and significant sites. Ensure a positive and memorable experience for the clients while providing a high level of customer service.

• Greet passengers and clients and assist those with special needs or requests.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dispatch Supervisor or Station Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• One (1) year of customer service or hospitality experience required; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Experience in a fast-paced work environment is preferred.

Knowledge, and Skills Required:

• Customer service duties require relating to employees and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Requires knowledge of principles and processes for safety, ethics, and compliance with company rules & regulations.
• Ability to recognize and define problem areas, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to use good judgment and decision-making while handling multiple situations.
• Physical demands of working in the field require frequent sitting and speaking. Additional duties may occasionally require lifting objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
