Five Star Nursing (FSN) invites experienced Registered Nurses to join the Step Down unit, delivering advanced care to patients transitioning from ICU and those needing intermediate monitoring. You will assess, plan, and document care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience in step-down or intermediate care.
• Active Compact RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• PCCN certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to step-down patients, monitoring vitals and status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation per regulations.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Respond promptly to changes in condition using strong critical thinking.
