Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience in step-down or intermediate care.
• Active Compact RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• PCCN certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to step-down patients, monitoring vitals and status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation per regulations.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Respond promptly to changes in condition using strong critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to patients in the step-down unit, closely monitoring vital signs, symptoms, and clinical status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and post-discharge care instructions.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and critical changes in condition, utilizing your strong critical thinking skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital environment in step-down or intermediate care units.
• Valid, current Compact RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PCCN certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
• Day shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
