Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a compassionate nurse to provide holistic care in a clinical setting. The role may include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call hours, with potential floating to different units based on needs and competency.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is a BSN or enrolled in a BSN completion program, with relevant nursing experience and a commitment to education, safety, and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN or enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program.
• ADN acceptable if hired before certain dates per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking with the interdisciplinary team.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies and state laws.
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation.
• Develops and executes a patient care plan per physician/hospital policy.
• Participates in department/unit performance improvement activities.
• Supports patient and family education.
• Responds to telephone calls and performs telephone triage of patients.
