Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus—Glick is seeking an experienced RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West. You will care for congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis patients across 14 beds with telemetry, vents, and bedside procedures.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PRN certifications. You will collaborate with nursing assistants, interns, and providers in a high-acuity environment with rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Step Down Unit.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and advanced bedside technologies.
• Assist with procedures and patient care coordination.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, prioritization, and effective delegation.
