Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley is seeking an After-School Teaching Specialist for the Code & Create Program. You will deliver Apple Everyone Can Code/Create lessons and supervise hands-on activities.

You will work across multiple clubhouse sites in Silicon Valley, part-time 20 hours per week, with pay at $27/hour. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration with staff, and youth development, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of teaching or instructional experience (STEM/tech preferred).
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools (iPads, MacBooks, Apple apps).
  • Must pass background check, TB test, and hold (or obtain) CPR/First Aid certification.

After-School Teaching Specialist - Code & Create Program

Location: Multiple Clubhouse Sites - Silicon Valley


Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week


Payrate: $27.00/hour


What You'll Do


  • Teach Apple Curricula (Everyone Can Code and Everyone Can Create) lessons.

  • Lead hands-on activities in coding, robotics, and digital arts.

  • Manage classrooms and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.

  • Guide youth in showcasing their projects to families and the community.

  • Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners.


Requirements


  • 1-2 years of teaching or instructional experience (STEM/tech preferred).

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools (iPads, MacBooks, Apple apps).

  • Must pass background check, TB test, and hold (or obtain) CPR/First Aid certification.

  • Reliable transportation to travel to multiple sites.

  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus!
