Job summary

iCode Austin is seeking a Coding Instructor for after-school programs and camps. You will guide K-12 students through Scratch, Python, Java, Roblox Studio, and robotics with hands-on projects.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about technology, can connect with kids, and are eager to learn. Training and materials are provided, with options for after-school and weekend programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Overview

As an Instructor at iCode Austin, you'll guide students through exciting technology-based lessons in coding, robotics, game design, and more. You don't need to be a professional software engineer. What matters most is your enthusiasm for technology, your ability to teach and connect with kids, and your willingness to learn. Training and curriculum materials are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead classes in subjects such as Scratch, Python, Java, Roblox Studio, HTML/CSS, and robotics.
• Engage and motivate students through interactive, project-based lessons.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels.
• Provide feedback, encouragement, and mentorship to help students progress through the iCode belt system.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and energetic classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Assist with special events, camps, and community outreach programs as needed.
