Job summary

The State of Iowa is seeking an Education Program Consultant (STEM North Central Regional Manager) to lead the Iowa STEM Scale-Up initiative across the region and convene the regional STEM Advisory Board. You will support statewide STEM programming, collaborate with educators, business and industry, and drive programming and evaluation efforts.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire and advocate for STEM interests and activities.
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis or comparable experience in a STEM field, marketing, management or related area.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage complex activities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a multitude of stakeholders.
Knowledge and experience with current software systems, web-based applications and social media.
Experience providing technical assistance and professional learning to educators.

Responsibilities

Lead and implement the Iowa STEM Scale-Up Programming across the region.
Convene regional STEM Advisory Board; manage schedules and summaries.
Support statewide STEM programming and Governor’s STEM Advisory Council activities.
Establish relationships with STEM-related organizations across sectors.
Promote and publicize programs to attract applicants.
Coordinate evaluations and data reporting for the program.
Collaborate with education, business, and industry partners regionally.
