Zusammenfassung

The YMCA invites applications for an Instructor (youth programs) to build positive relationships with children and families while delivering curriculum focused on mastering specific skills. You will supervise groups, plan classes, engage parents as volunteers, and uphold safety standards, ADA compliance, and YMCA core values.

Minimum qualifications include 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and First Aid/CPR certifications within 60 days of hire, plus completion of child abuse prevention

Qualifikationen

• Age 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed units in CD or human services preferred.
• Experience with school-age children in a group setting preferred.
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• First Aid; CPR for Adult, Infant and Child within 60 days of hire; child abuse prevention training prior to start.
• Y-USA Leader Certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Nurture children through constructive programming focused on belonging and achievement.
• Supervise a group of children with appropriate ratios and safety.
• Plan, lead and evaluate age-appropriate activities around a focus area.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and engage them as volunteers.
• Attend meetings, trainings and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
