Job summary

The Maxwell Clubhouse in Sonoma, CA, seeks a STEM Program Coordinator to design and deliver hands-on STEM, technology, and Maker activities for TK–8th grade members. You will promote safe, inclusive learning, support youth engagement, and align activities with BGCSV standards.

You will manage lesson plans, spaces, and equipment, collaborate with site leadership, supervise staff and volunteers, and help track outcomes while supporting school-year programs, summer sessions, and community events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with K-8 students in STEM is required.
• Familiar with data analysis, record keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM, technology, and Maker activities for TK–8th grade members in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Provide supervision to ensure safety, positive behavior, and meaningful engagement (1:20 ratio).
• Plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate STEM lessons and hands-on activities.
• Coordinate STEM programming across BGCSV sites and maintain lesson plans and resources.
• Support space management, equipment setup/breakdown, and basic troubleshooting of tech equipment.
• Collaborate with site leadership and staff to align programs with BGCSV standards and priorities.
