Job summary

UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ is seeking an Educational Support Coordinator to oversee the Academic Learning Center and Information Commons labs. You will develop tutoring programs for STEM students, manage staff, and collaborate with faculty to align services with coursework.

Responsibilities include creating resources, maintaining LMS content, and promoting tutoring across campus, with some travel between campuses. A bachelor’s degree and tutoring experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preference in Computer Science, Mathematics or other STEM.
• Minimum of two years of teaching and/or tutoring experience, in person and with computer-aided instruction.
• Knowledge of computer-aided instruction, basic computer applications, MS Office and web/mobile apps.
• Experience creating and maintaining LMS shells and supporting PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Experience supervising and evaluating student workers.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, trains, and supervise a staff of tutors and staff.
• Creates and maintains tutor schedules.
• Researches and integrates AI and emerging technologies to enhance tutoring and operations.
• Promotes tutoring services to students, faculty, and staff.
• Collaborates with STEM faculty to align tutoring with course content.
