Job summary

UA Little Rock is seeking an Extra Help Assistant/Learning Assistant. This role supports course instructors by designing, implementing, and revising evidence-based teaching practices across courses. The position is governed by state and federal laws and institutional policies.

The ideal candidate has some college experience and has completed qualifying STEM courses. You will meet weekly with instructors, help guide students, and collaborate with a team to enhance learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework experience required.
• Must have completed qualifying STEM courses unless otherwise approved.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructors in designing evidence-based teaching practices.
• Support implementation of teaching practices in class, workshop, or lab.
• Meet weekly with the instructor to review progress and plan.
• Guide students in understanding course material.
