Job summary

Dallas College seeks a dynamic Lab Manager to oversee operation of one or more laboratories within the new academic schools. The role reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs or the Vice Provost and ensures labs are ready, safe, and aligned with program needs to support hands-on learning.

The position advances the college’s mission by maintaining equipment, managing staff, and collaborating across disciplines to enhance student outcomes in ETMS areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field plus required teaching/ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages several laboratory areas including supervision of Laboratory Specialists or other staff.
• Ensure compliance to laboratory safety rules and regulations, including health and safety policies, and college, state and federal policies.
• Develops comprehensive inventory system for efficient tracking of equipment, tools and supplies for one or more laboratories.
• Develop strategic plan for laboratory services to support existing and new programs.
• Prepares budget requests and manages approved budget.
