Job summary

Brainy n Bright in Lawrenceville, NJ, is seeking a full-time STEM Instructor to teach Python, Java, engineering, physics, and math in small groups and 1:1 sessions with diverse students. Travel to partner schools and off-site locations is a regular part of the role.

You will collaborate with other instructors, help with lesson planning, and may coach students in robotics competitions. A degree in engineering, STEM education, or computer science (or hands-on equivalent) is required.

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of Python, Java, engineering concepts, physics, and math.
• Student-centered teaching approach; meets students where they are.
• Able to adapt to different class structures, ages, and learning styles.
• Creative energy in lessons; not reading from script.
• Growth mindset; seeks to improve teaching.
• Strong communication with students and parents.
• Holds an engineering, STEM education, computer science degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Holds a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Teach across subjects: Python, Java, engineering, physics, and math in small groups and 1:1 sessions.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and contribute to lesson planning.
