Snapology of Johnson County seeks a Part-Time Lead STEAM Instructor to deliver Snapology programs in elementary schools and early learning centers across Johnson County. Classes occur during school hours, after school, or right after dismissal.

Ideal candidates have classroom teaching experience and a passion for hands-on STEAM education. This role suits educators, substitute teachers, paraeducators, or education students seeking engaging, hands-on learning experiences in a flexible, part-time

Qualifications

• At least one year of classroom or school-based experience (teacher, para, substitute, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred; students pursuing Education degrees encouraged.
• Must pass background and child abuse clearances.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Consistent, punctual, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, hands-on STEAM lessons using Snapology’s curriculum.
• Create a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages positive student behavior.
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse needs and grade levels.
• Prepare in advance by reviewing lesson plans and training resources.
• Manage materials such as LEGO bricks, robotics kits, and tablets.
• Communicate professionally with school staff, administrators, and families.
• Promote ongoing student participation in Snapology programs.
• Attend occasional training sessions and team meetings.
