Job summary

The Bakken Museum seeks an Educator to develop and deliver onsite and outreach education programs, perform shows, and provide guided tours for visitors and organized groups.

You will implement engaging programming, collaborate with a team, and support DEAI initiatives. The role requires some evenings and weekends and regular travel for programs, with a threshold for extended trips as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, supervising, and/or working with K-12 youth in a formal or informal educational setting.
• Experience with theatrical performance and/or performance storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight for some programs.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Delivers education programs onsite and outreach with students, parents, teachers and volunteers.
• Performs shows and guided tours for general admission visitors or groups.
• Implements programming and collaborates with supervisor on program plans.
• Supports various education initiatives and events as needed.
