Job summary

iCode Austin is seeking a passionate Coding Instructor for after-school and camps. You don\'t need to be a pro coder; enthusiasm for technology and the ability to teach kids are what matter. Training and curriculum are provided, with flexible, part-time and full-time opportunities.

Lead classes in Scratch, Python, Java, Roblox Studio, HTML/CSS, and robotics; help students progress through the iCode belt system while maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom and partnering with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Passion for technology, education, and working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of programming or STEM concepts.
• Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable, organized, and committed to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead classes in Scratch, Python, Java, Roblox Studio, HTML/CSS, and robotics.
• Engage students through interactive, project-based lessons.
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Provide feedback and mentorship to help students progress through the belt system.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, energetic classroom.
• Communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Assist with special events, camps, and outreach programs as needed.
