Job summary

Seattle Central College is seeking a part-time Classroom Lab Assistant for STEM with duties supporting instruction and lab activities. The role runs up to 16 hours per week, typically in-person, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation is an hourly rate of $21.30, and positions are hired on a quarterly basis, working under supervision of an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 4.

Qualifications

• Taken or currently taking a STEM course with a lab component at Seattle Central College.
• Coursework in the areas hired to support.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow classroom and laboratory procedures and policies.
• Maintain regular contact with supervisor.
• Keep lab and prep areas clean and organized.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and wash as necessary.
• Assist in setting up and putting away classroom and laboratory activities.
• Learn to maintain and repair classroom and laboratory equipment.
