Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Product Application Engineer to help customers develop world-class steering systems for off-highway machines. Based near Ames, IA or Minneapolis, MN, you’ll join a global team supporting customers and the sales organization in applying Danfoss steering and electro-hydraulic steering solutions.

You will partner with customers, test and optimize systems, and work with sales, product management, and engineering to deliver customer-specific solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with hydraulics, machinery, or vehicle systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to develop innovative steering solutions for off-highway machines.
• Test, validate, and optimize steering systems at the Application Development Center to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams to create customer-specific solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and product recommendations.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer development process.
