Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Product Application Engineer to help customers develop world-class machine steering systems. The role is onsite near Ames, IA or Minneapolis, MN, with a salary range of 85–95K and global collaboration with our Orbital & Gears Solutions team.

You will partner with customers, test and optimize steering solutions, and translate requirements into technical specifications while working with sales, product management, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred. Recent grads with strong internship or co-op in hydraulics, machinery, or vehicle systems are encouraged to apply.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30 days per year).

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to develop innovative steering solutions for off-highway machines.
• Test, validate, and optimize steering systems at our Application Development Center to ensure they meet customer and application requirements.
• Work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to develop customer-specific solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and product recommendations.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer development process.
