Job summary
Danfoss GmbH in Ames, IA or Minneapolis, MN seeks a Product Application Engineer to help customers develop world-class steering systems for off-highway machines. This onsite role blends hydraulics, electro-hydraulic steering, and application engineering expertise to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred; interns/co-ops OK for strong applicants.
- Experience in hydraulics, mechatronics, electrical engineering or related fields.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~30 days/year).
- Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter, NX and AutoCAD is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to develop innovative steering solutions for off-highway machines.
- Test, validate, and optimize steering systems at our Application Development Center.
- Work with sales, product management, and engineering to develop customer-specific solutions.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and product recommendations.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer development process.
