Job summary

R. H. Sheppard Co. Inc. is seeking a General Assembler to assemble steering gear components on an assembly line. You will work with conveyors, install seals, and ensure proper torques and leak checks, following blueprints and written instructions.

Responsibilities include process adherence to TS/ISO standards, tool setup and calibration, and SPC data collection. The role requires lifting parts and working within a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of shop math and blueprint reading.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment; Lean Manufacturing techniques (5S, JIT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble steering gear components on conveyor line according to instructions.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to guide assembly.
• Use gauges and tools to ensure proper tolerances; apply torque and seal components.
• Comply with TS and ISO manufacturing practices and safety regulations.
• Maintain records, perform SPC data collection, and prepare production counts.
