RH Sheppard in York County, Hanover is seeking a General Assembler to build steering gear components on a night shift. You will follow blueprints, use gauges and torque tools, and feed material to the assembly line while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning tools, performing SPC checks, recording production counts, and following lean manufacturing practices (5S, JIT). The role requires ability to lift 40 lbs, teamwork, and overtime as needed.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of shop math and blueprint reading preferred.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lean manufacturing techniques (5S, JIT) preferred.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 40 lbs, and work overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble steering gear components using gauges, torque tools, and inspections.
• Interpret blueprints and work orders to perform tasks.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and current specifications.
• Set up, clean, and inspect tools; load materials as required.
• Perform machine offsets, program changes, and quality checks to assure quality.
