Job summary

JSW Steel Limited in Ohio seeks a process optimization professional to identify bottlenecks and implement cost-reduction initiatives to minimize scrap and slag in steelmaking operations.

You will provide technical troubleshooting for EAF, LMF, VTD, and caster units, apply SPC methods to production data, and help standardize procedures while leading or supporting capital projects from design through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Identify production bottlenecks and implement cost-reduction initiatives to minimize scrap and slag.
• Provide day-to-day operational support and root cause analysis for complex steelmaking units including EAF, LMF, VTD, and Caster.
• Leverage SPC techniques and production data to monitor system performance, build reporting dashboards, and deploy digital twin models.
• Lead and participate in capital improvement projects from design through completion, including equipment upgrades and commissioning.
• Develop, refine, and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct training sessions for plant personnel.
