Job summary

Diamondback Firearms is seeking a skilled Steel Welder responsible for fabricating Alumatowers and performing MIG/TIG welds in various positions. The role requires reading tolerances, selecting appropriate weld parameters, and ensuring weld quality through inspection.

The candidate will work on 1st shift, with standard hours Monday through Friday, and overtime as needed. A background check and drug screen are required, along with ATF firearm possession compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass weld test.
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG steel welds on Alumatowers in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

Job Title: Steel Welder

Job Summary

The Alumatower Welder is responsible for the fabrication and welding of Alumatowers.

Position Qualifications/Requirements

• Ability to pass weld test
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Preferred Skills

• At least 1 year of MIG and TIG steel welding experience in a production environment preferred
• At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• Forklift certification

CORE DUTIES

• Perform MIG and TIG steel welds on Alumatowers in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

Special Requirements

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
