Job summary

Egger Steel Company, an employee‑owned firm with 80+ years of experience, is hiring a Structural Steel Welder in Sioux Falls, SD. The role is full‑time, day shift, with a 6:00 AM start Monday–Thursday and Friday 6:00 AM to 3:20 PM.

You will weld structural components, read blueprints, operate equipment, and ensure weld quality and records. Competitive hourly pay, benefits, and ESOP participation are offered.

Qualifications

• Welding experience preferred; all skill levels welcome.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Must pass background check and shop physical.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components including beams, columns, and assemblies to project specifications and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to select the proper welding techniques and materials.
• Operate, set up, and maintain welding equipment while following all safety guidelines.
• Inspect and test completed welds to verify strength, quality, and code compliance.
• Maintain accurate records including weld logs, certifications, and reports.
• Work alongside fabricators, fitters, and project leads in a productive shop environment.

The Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Friday 6:00 AM to 3:20 PM (49 hours per week)
