Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Material Handler to support receiving, storing, processing, packaging, and distribution of steel products.

This role is on the 1st shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a focus on efficient material flow and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include moving and distributing materials using various means (hand, machine, forklift, crane), packaging per work orders, tagging and labeling, and maintaining equipment and work areas.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a warehouseman or equivalent.
• Read and interpret work orders and instructions.
• Maintain records using manual and computerized systems.
• Provide training to Laborers/Helpers.
• Ability to analyze and respond to emergencies.
• Read, write, and communicate with others.
• Demonstrate ability to use tools for measuring and banding for shipping.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, package, and distribute material.
• Move, gather, package, or distribute material per work orders.
• Package material per instructions.
• Gather material by hand, machine, forklift, or crane; use strapping tools.
• Label materials and spray paint per specs.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment.
• Perform daily safety inspections on cranes and forklifts.
• Stage material for unloading and distribution.
• Additional tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
