Job summary

UNAVAILABLE is seeking a material handling worker for 1st shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) to support receiving, storing, processing, packaging, and distribution of steel products.

The role requires standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working safely in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include receiving and moving material, packaging per work orders, using forklift or crane, labeling, and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and instructions.
• Maintain records using manual and computerized systems.
• Provide training and instruction to Laborers/Helpers.
• Commitment to safety procedures and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute material, tools and equipment.
• Package material per work order instructions.
• Move material by hand, forklift, or crane and band for shipment.
• Mark material with identifying information and labels; spray paint as needed.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment; perform basic inspections.
• Complete daily safety inspections on cranes and forklifts.
• Stage rail cars inside building and outside for removal.
• Handle additional tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
