Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Warehouseman to support receiving, storing, processing, packaging, and distribution of steel products. This swing shift runs from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., offering hands-on duties with forklifts and hand tools in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform tasks to receive, move, package, and distribute material, maintaining records and ensuring safety standards are followed. Reading work orders and operating basic inventory systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a warehouseman or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools for shipping.
• Maintain records using manual and computerized systems.
• Provide training and instruction to Laborers/Helpers.
• Analyze and respond to emergency situations.
• Read, write, and communicate with others.
• Demonstrate the ability to use tools and equipment needed to measure and band for shipping.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, and equipment.
• Receive, move, gather, package, or distribute material.
• Package material per work order instructions.
• Gather material by hand, machine, forklift, or crane and band product for shipment.
• Mark material with identifying information or attach labels; spray paint as needed.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment per safety standards.
• Complete daily safety inspections on cranes and forklifts.
• Stage rail cars inside building for unloading and outside for removal.
• All additional tasks assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.
