Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and coordinate field operations for steel fabrication and erection projects. You will oversee crews, subcontractors, quality control, and client expectations to deliver on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction supervision, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep knowledge of safety protocols and blueprints. This role offers growth in a growing steel-focused contractor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in construction supervision, preferably in steel fabrication/erection or a related field.
• Proven track record managing projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of jobsite safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations on multiple structural steel and ornamental metal projects
• Coordinate and manage onsite crews and subcontractors to ensure optimal performance
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a strong emphasis on jobsite safety compliance
• Monitor progress and schedule activities to align with project timelines
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers, clients, and engineers to resolve issues
• Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications and drawings
• Provide leadership and mentorship to field teams
