Job summary

Qualdoc in Richmond, VA is seeking a Steel Shipping Lead for the 2nd shift to coordinate outbound material handling and shipment preparation in a structural steel environment. You will combine hands‑on loading with team leadership to ensure materials are handled safely, orders are accurate, and deliveries stay on schedule.

Responsibilities include directing daily loading and shipping, verifying tickets and paperwork, training staff, conducting safety meetings, and improving shipping efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in structural steel handling, shipping, or loadout operations.
• At least 2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, telehandlers, vertical mast lifts, and forklifts.
• Familiarity with Tekla EPMgo or similar production and shipping software is preferred.

Starting Pay: $26.00/hour, plus a $3.00/hour shift differential. Higher base pay may be available depending on experience.
