Job summary

All Things Metal LLC in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support the fabrication shop. You will perform quality inspections at multiple stages, maintain accurate QA records and ensure compliance with shop standards and safety policies.

The role requires experience in structural steel fabrication, the ability to read drawings, and knowledge of AWS/AISC codes. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Five years fabrication shop welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of AWS and AISC codes applicable to steel fabrication and erection.
• Must have structural steel fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections during fabrication (fit-up, weld, final QC, finish/coating).
• Record and maintain inspection records for QA per QSM.
• Communicate with fabrication foremen, project managers and team members.
• Plan and coordinate inspections.
• Maintain compliance with QSM throughout QC process.
• Establish and build QC standards as products evolve.
• Lead internal and external quality audits and meet project deadlines.
