Job summary

Intsel Steel East seeks a Warehouse Production Supervisor to establish metrics and scheduling for all processing departments, ensuring safe operations in line with OSHA guidelines.

The role involves directing activities, organizing schedules, training on safety protocols, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with sales/logistics, and enforcing discipline per company policies in a fast-paced steel environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• 2-4 years of prior warehouse supervisory experience, preferably in metals, fabrication or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, supervise all activities pertaining to steel processing; ensure resources to meet production and quality goals while maintaining safety.
• Establish and execute efficient, orderly and safe material handling procedures.
• Organize work schedules, shift responsibilities and production schedules.
• Training of new employees in safety protocols, proper work assignments, and job responsibilities.
• Control absenteeism and maintain discipline consistent with Intsel Steel East policies.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve and prevent problems; ensure housekeeping.
• Coordinate processing schedule, route orders for delivery and communicate with sales, logistics, purchasing and accounting.
• Promote a clean and safe work environment including PPE training.
• Inspect materials to be processed and shipped; schedule maintenance for processing equipment.
• Respond to emails/phone calls/messages timely; manage stock checks and inventory accuracy.
