Job summary

Gil Haugan Construction is seeking a Steel and Precast Project Manager / Estimator to lead steel and precast scope from preconstruction through procurement, fabrication, installation, and closeout, ensuring projects meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel/precast construction production.
• Construction project management or trade scope management experience.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and shop drawings and specifications.
• Estimating experience, including takeoffs, budgeting, and cost tracking.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to define steel and precast scope and feasibility.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and scope clarifications.
• Coordinate takeoffs, materials, and procurement planning.
• Manage steel and precast scope from award through installation and closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules aligned with the master project schedule.
• Oversee shop drawings, submittals, approvals, and revisions.
• Coordinate with fabricators, suppliers, and field teams to confirm lead times.
• Track job costs, labor, materials, and change orders.
• Serve as the primary contact for steel and precast-related communication.
• Provide schedule and budget updates to internal teams and clients.
• Ensure quality control standards are met through fabrication and installation.
• Oversee punch list completion and closeout documentation.
