Job summary

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. is seeking a Leveler Operator to support the Plate Department. Responsibilities include operating a leveler press, loading and aligning steel plate, and safely using forklifts and overhead cranes. Training will be provided while fulfilling 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, with on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, with leveler/press or heavy machinery knowledge.
• On-the-job training provided for leveler press and material handling.
• Ability to read measurement tools and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the leveler press and process steel plate.
• Load, position, align, and handle steel plate and materials.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.
• Monitor equipment operation and material flow for safety and efficiency.
• Make basic adjustments and perform measurements as trained.
• Inspect material and communicate concerns to team.
