Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. is seeking a Long Product Operator to support manufacturing by operating and monitoring equipment used in producing long steel products. The role begins as a Utility position with on-the-job training to progress as needed.

The position requires basic math, reading measuring tools, and a strong safety mindset. Work involves standing for extended periods in a manufacturing environment with varying shifts and 5S housekeeping expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment used in production of long steel products.
• Load, position, and handle steel products and materials.
• Monitor equipment and material flow for safe, efficient production.
• Perform basic adjustments to equipment and process settings.
• Perform basic math and measurements related to production specs.
• Inspect material and identify quality concerns during processing.
• Communicate concerns to maintenance or supervision.
• Follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in 5S activities.
