Job summary

Lincoln Contracting & Equipment is seeking an experienced painter to prepare surfaces, apply primer and finish coats, and work with structural steel and plate work using industrial paint systems. The role emphasizes safety, proper PPE, and adherence to environmental and regulatory guidelines.

The candidate will operate spray equipment, prep areas, and ensure efficient, quality finishes within paint booths, contributing to project timelines and safety standards across job sites.

Qualifications

• Hazardous materials handling awareness
• PPE compliance and safety procedures
• Surface preparation and coating application skills
• Familiarity with spray equipment operation and maintenance
• Ability to read and follow work orders and safety data sheets

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and removing rust as required.
• Operate spray guns and apply primer or finish coats with proper viscosity and pressure.
• Move and position objects for painting in blast/paint booths.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and booths; replace filters as needed.
• Follow EPA, OSHA, and NIOSH guidelines and wear PPE at all times.
