Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a dedicated Safety Lead to manage project-specific safety and health issues across Steel Operations and related shop activities. You will act as the on-site safety resource, aligning daily production planning with safety expectations and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

This role requires minimum two years of active safety experience in construction, recognized safety certifications, and strong communication skills to train personnel, conduct

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years active safety experience within the construction industry or Pursuit of Safety related degree.
• Recognized safety certification (STS, CSST, CSSS) through BCSP or NCCER.
• Thorough understanding of and the ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and Trust.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated safety resource for Steel Operations across shop operations.
• Partner with Steel Operations leadership to integrate safety into daily production planning.
• Implement and maintain company safety policies and site-specific safety programs.
• Conduct safety orientation and training for all employees and contract partners on site.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce the Code of Safe Practice throughout the project.
• Coordinate with Safety, Quality, and operations to resolve findings and improve compliance.
