Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. is seeking a Steel Mill Laborer to join Minteq, a Minerals Technologies company, located in Braddock, PA. The role involves applying refractory materials to line and repair furnaces and ladles in a steel mill environment, with emphasis on safe, efficient operation and quality workmanship.

You may work swing or 12-hour shifts as needed. Qualifications include a High School Diploma, ability to read/understand English, and mechanical/electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; English reading and writing required.
• Knowledge: Steel-making or related experience preferred but not required; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply material (product) and use all relevant equipment as required.
• Follow all standard operating procedures regarding equipment and applications of product.
• Operate equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain all equipment in working order and clean appearance.
• Maintain a strong focus on satisfying the customer.
