Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Millwright with strong welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across steel mills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in mechanical systems, welding techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience MIG, TIG, and Stick with various materials.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments; lifting heavy parts.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and meticulous safety adherence.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repairs of mechanical equipment, conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes in industrial settings.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding for repairs and fabrication; conduct welding inspections.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in all tasks.
• Collaborate with maintenance techs, engineers, and management to resolve issues.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical failures and implement solutions.
