Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division during fall shutdowns. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across steel mills and related plants.

The ideal candidate will have apprenticeship experience and a solid background in mechanical systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes; performing MIG/TIG/Stick welding; developing

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience (MIG, TIG, STICK) across various materials (steel, stainless steel, etc.).
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes and other industrial machinery.
• Perform welding and fabrication; conduct welding inspections to ensure high-quality, safe work.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements to keep work areas safe and clean.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.
