Job summary

Phoenix Services LLC in Ghent, KY is seeking a Laborer to support steel mill operations. The role involves cleaning, fueling, greasing, and assisting with equipment; teamwork and safety are essential in a physically demanding environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a readiness to work in a steel mill setting. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a Steel Mill environment with PPE
• Demonstrates strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast paced setting
• Willingness to perform physical, manual tasks and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Clean cat walks, stairs, and screens using tools and equipment.
• Climb stairs and ladders as required.
• Grease and fuel equipment.
• Perform various manual tasks including lifting and moving.
• Serve as a spotter or safety person.
• Maintain full range of motion for tool use.
• Stand or sit for extended periods; move across distances up to 1/2 mile.
• Possibly operate skid steer, man lift, and forklift.
• Check blind spots and operate fire extinguisher.
• Support overall team operations with additional duties as needed.
