Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. in the USA NorthWest Indiana region is seeking a SMS Service Manager to oversee all Steel Mill Service operations in a designated region. The role focuses on safety, performance, equipment maintenance, and coordinating the SMS group.

You will drive operational excellence, develop metrics, manage field operations costs, and report monthly. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and leadership experience; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years experience in refractory sales or industrial manufacturing.
• Previous supervision of a work group preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety requirements for Steel Mill Service force are met.
• Oversee shop operations and SMS group activities.
• Drive Operational Excellence and monitor key metrics.
• Manage field operations cost control and financial performance.
• Provide monthly reporting on Field Operations.
• Coordinate staffing for projects and liaise with HR on policies.
