Job summary

Forcepersonnelok is seeking experienced MIG welders and structural steel fabricators for a hands-on role in an AISC-certified shop. You will weld, fabricate, layout, and fit-up steel components from fabrication drawings in a busy, safety-conscious environment.

Candidates should be comfortable reading shop drawings, measuring with tape, and working independently as well as in a team. Prior MIG welding experience and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.

Job description

We are seeking experienced MIG Welders and Structural Steel Fabricators to join an AISC-certified structural steel fabrication shop. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in structural steel welding, fabrication, fit-up, and working from fabrication drawings.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components
• Fabricate and assemble structural steel according to job specifications
• Perform layout, fitting, and fit-up of steel components
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and measurements
• Properly position and prepare materials for welding and assembly
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
• Use grinders, saws, measuring tools, and other common fabrication equipment
• Follow established welding procedures, shop standards, and safety requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding and/or structural steel fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to produce clean, consistent welds
• Experience with structural steel fabrication is strongly preferred
• Layout and fit-up positions require the ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of a steel fabrication environment

Certification

Individual welding certification is not required. The facility is an AISC-certified structural steel fabrication shop, and welders will be expected to perform work according to the shop's established quality and fabrication standards.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on position in a structural steel fabrication shop. Candidates should be comfortable working around welding equipment, steel materials, fabrication machinery, and typical industrial shop conditions.

Pay: Based on experience Schedule: Full-Time Location: Oklahoma City, OK

All candidates must provide their own welding hood.
