Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC is seeking a Machine Operator to support production by programming equipment, maintaining machine controls, and ensuring efficient operation. You will follow production instructions, document settings, and help with quality checks to meet customer demand.

You will also handle packaging, material movement, and report anomalies while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and following company procedures.

Qualifications

• Follows safety rules and requirements.
• Operates equipment programmers.
• Understands raw materials, processes and quality standards.
• Able to use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers.
• Lifts up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine controls per production instructions.
• Maintain documentation of machine settings and work orders.
• Package material using banding equipment as specified.
• Load, transport, unload, and stack materials per procedures.
• Measure and verify steel dimensions with given tools.
• Set up arbors/overarms as required by production.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane for material movement.
• Retrieve steel samples for lab and report non-conformities to supervisor.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment.
