Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and monitor steel fabrication machinery, ensuring safe, efficient production and adherence to quality standards. The role requires reading work orders, adjusting settings, and performing routine maintenance to keep lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will read gauges, interpret blueprints, and maintain accurate records while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience operating steel fabrication or processing machinery.
Ability to read measurements, gauges, and basic blueprints.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor machinery used in steel fabrication or processing.
Read and interpret work orders, job instructions, and production schedules.
Adjust machine controls, settings, and tooling for production runs.
Measure and inspect products to ensure specifications and tolerances.
Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
Identify malfunctions, quality issues, or defects and report them promptly.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow safety rules, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
