Responsibilities include unloading steel, racking, operating overhead cranes, and assisting galvanizer operations while wearing heat-protective PPE. Prior forklift or loading experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
• Be able to stand for the full 12-hour shift.
• Be able to repeatedly lift 100 pounds or more.
• Have steel-toed boots.
• Be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
• Be comfortable working in an active industrial environment.

• Unload incoming steel from delivery trucks using forklifts.
• Rack steel pieces by hand, forklift, or overhead crane.
• Place wooden spacers between beams before dipping.
• Operate overhead cranes with remote controls.
• Assist with galvanizer operations while wearing heat-protective PPE.
• Unbundle beams using clippers and proper hand and eye protection.
• Operate a bundling machine.
• Move finished steel products by forklift.
• Load and unload materials throughout the facility.

United Talent is hiring dependable, hardworking Utility Laborers for a steel galvanizing facility in Greenup, Kentucky!

This is a full-time opportunity with a unique 4-days-on, 4-days-off rotating schedule, giving you more consecutive days off while still working full-time hours. In addition to your base pay, motivated employees have the opportunity to earn robust weekly production bonuses, significantly increasing their earning potential!

What You’ll Do

• Unloading incoming steel from delivery trucks using forklifts
• Racking steel pieces by hand, forklift, or overhead crane
• Placing wooden spacers between beams before dipping
• Operating overhead cranes with remote controls
• Assisting with galvanizer operations while wearing heat-protective PPE
• Unbundling beams using clippers and proper hand and eye protection
• Operating a bundling machine
• Moving finished steel products by forklift
• Loading and unloading materials throughout the facility

Pay and Schedule

• Starting pay: $14.63 per hour
• Opportunity to earn robust weekly production bonuses
• Full-time, 12-hour rotating swing shifts
• Work 4 days on, followed by 4 days off
• Groups A and B rotate on the same days
• Groups C and D rotate on the same days
