Job summary

Wastequip in Tyler, TX is hiring a Fabricator on 1st shift to fabricate steel parts and tools using a variety of machines. Team members will read blueprints, set up presses, and maintain quality.

A strong focus on safety and accurate measurement is required, with competitive benefits and a supportive production environment. The position offers a daytime schedule (Mon-Fri) from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a pay rate of $18.14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a Press Brake and/or Shear.
• Set up experience a plus.
• Understanding of basic CNC controls.
• 1+ years prior production experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tape.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel and other metal parts per work order and blueprints.
• Operate a Press Brake and/or Shear as required.
• Turn handwheels to adjust rake and blade pressure.
• Position and clamp guides to set length and angle of cuts.
• Lift workpieces manually or with hoist/crane to machine bed.
• Start machine and clamp workpiece before cutting.
• Lay out cutting lines on metal for shearing single pieces.
• Inspect finished items to verify dimensions.
